Slack Separation Anxiety

The anxious feeling you get when you should be working and online but are in fact not actively working, namely that someone might be trying to reach you via Slack and you will be unable to respond to them or provide what they need in that moment. Which, of course, will immediately get you fired.

Common symptoms: Ghost phone vibration, thinking you heard a slack ping, etc

I have Slack Separation Anxiety so I don't stray too far from my laptop during the day.

Slack Block

Prevention of someone else's ability to slack off. At work, if your computer is being repaired, but you are offered a loaner to continue to be productive, the IT guy 'slack blocked' you. If at home, you're significant other presents a reasonable request to do something, that prevents you from vegging.

My computer is being worked on by IT and I thought I'd have the afternoon off, but they slack blocked me with a loaner machine.

Slacker Rock

A genre of music that emerged in the 80’s as a noisy, lo-fi, and raw form of Indie Rock. Slacker Rock music is commonly (but not always) very raw, lo-fi, and relatable. Slacker Rock music has since had a comeback with artists such as Alex G and Duster becoming pretty popular.

You say shakkers to when someone you know thinks they say something really funny or cool but they are being a complete idiot.

If someone decides to call themselves shakkers they have them admitted to being the least funny in the group and most annoying.
