Cosmetic Crit

In a video game, a critical hit that occurs when a normal hit would have killed the enemy. Typically annoying in that the crit would have been desired when the enemy was at full health.

An example of a cosmetic crit in Fire Emblem: Three Houses

*Felix goes to fight some enemy*
*He has a 40% chance of landing a crit on the enemy*
*first hit: 34 damage, enemy is almost dead*

Player: Dang, no crits.

*enemy punches Felix back, Felix takes 10 damage*

Player: Would have avoided it if he’d gotten the crit, but oh well.

Felix, going for the killing blow: I’LL CUT YOU DOWN!

Player: Seriously, Felix? You couldn’t have gotten that earlier?

Cosmerey is a secret sex ritual performed mainly by members of satanic cults. What happens is 40 dudes stand in a circle completely naked while a decently attractive girls examines them all and chooses a certain person. This person is her favorite of all, and he is a lucky man. Every man that isn’t selected gets their private part severed.

Cosmic twin

A person who was born on the same day of the year as you. A true cosmic twin was born on the same day and same year as you (aka a Sense8), but colloquially any year is permissible.

Of the past 5 dates I’ve been on, two of them have been cosmic twins. I guess that means astrology is wrong, since opposites attract.
