An organization of Americans opposed to wearing masks during the 1918 Flu Pandemic, which killed 50 million people.
"The 'Anti-Mask League' protest in San Francisco was an orderly protest compared to people fighting in Walmarts today," said Dr. Howard Markel, a medical historian and a physician who leads the Center for the History of Medicine at the University of Michigan. "Today, the anti-mask sentiment has a virulence and violence of its own that we didn't see back then."

The Big Leagues” or “The Big Leagues are calling” is a phrase popularized on TikTok, especially within niche communities like GIFTok and Slimetok. It’s typically used when someone notices a video from these communities going viral and comments “the big leagues are calling” to acknowledge the creator’s rising fame. Variations include supportive remarks like “great job kiddo 🥹” or “not bad kid 😄,” and “SEND HIM TO THE BIG LEAGUES ❗️ 🗣️.” often used in response to viral content within or beyond these circles. Originally an inside joke among these niche groups, the phrase has since gained some traction outside them. Some attribute it to DJ Khaled, DJ Khaled is known for his clips where he often says very outrageous and random things in an exaggerated way. However, it’s debatable.
“Oh shit that video got 50k likes, SEND HIM TO THE BIG LEAGUES ❗️😭🗣️”
Or,
“100k likes? Good job kiddo 🥹 the big leagues are calling ❗️🗣️”
