The common practice of using chat programs and/or online dating websites for the sole purpose of getting off. Similar to sexting, only using established chat programs or internet sites with profile pics to masturbate.

Wish I had a dollar for every time a guy's tried chat whacking with me online!

Sarcasti-chat

Having an online chat with someone that would be considered rude, nasty or mean if it were in person or overheard by strangers or the people who are being spoken about, but the buffer of being online softens it. Frequently bitchy, catty or petty, it is nevertheless entertaining as hell to the participants, who wonder why they are never this funny when they are in the same room.

"I wonder if their ears are burning? I just got done having a particularly good sarcasti-chat with Carlo on Facebook, where we trashed everyone we knew. I haven't laughed that much in ages. I'm TERRIBLE."

chat race

When one person in an online chat starts to say something before they realize that the other person is typing. This results in one or both people either stopping their typing or racing to finish typing before the other person.

I wanted to break up with John, but I lost the chat race and had to agree to a date.

I chat raced Jane to correct her spelling before she did.

Chat Coma

1. Anyone who is away from their keyboard or busy with life or pm's, who doesn't answer in a room or pm box.
2. Any name placed in a chat room, but the user is not monitoring the room. Usually these names never reply when someone types or talks to them.

Example: Julie hasn't answered anyone in the room today, she must be in a chat coma.

Goodreads chatting

A website for books… That’s just the cover. On the inside there a community. I’m apart of it but I don’t know if there are more communities such as it. A community where kids ranged from 9 all the way to 17 come around and communicate-Chat- in what we call chats (which are really just book updates) It’s a place where a lot of the young ones online date for a couple days, longest recorded is months, “find themselves” which actually the 12 year olds just turn gay for a day or two and date then say in their bio “Sexuality:Idk” The story above online happened once tho. Goodreads chatting started in 2017. No matter how many times I reported those who are under 13 (TOS) there wasn’t any use. Anyway some users that deserve credit are Nerf (who chronicled GR history from the golden days to now) and James a nerd. Anyways the way kids find each other is from kindle. Note that keeping your sanity is something rare
