The experience of pleasure, joy, or self-satisfaction that comes from learning of or witnessing the troubles of severe winter weather “back east,” in other parts of the country where one had previously lived, while on a beach or in a pool in the Southern Californian sun at 65°F or higher.

So many posted weather app screenshots about how gnarly cold it is that I got SoCal Seasonal Schadenfreude, fer sher.
