"Nish" comes from Anishinaabe, the tribe more widely known as the Ojibwe. "Nish" is used among friends and family, or even a complete stranger (as long as they're a Nish, too). Always used on friendly terms. It could be an insult if used in the wrong way, but why would you want to do that?
"Look at that big Nish! Right over there!" - nish #1
"Howah! He must have a huge nishnob!" - nish #2
"Sha hi!!!!!! You're so sick minded, cousin! Ayaa, but he is sexy..." - nish #3

The act of closing oneself off from the group one is walking with, due to being preoccupied with other things. Often done by listening to music and walking at a considerable distance from the group.
to nish-out:
Friend 1: "Why is Jack walking all the way over there?"
Friend 2: "Let him be, he is nishing out"

1. Commonly experienced by North American Natives under the influence of alcohol. 'Going nish' often involves this uncontrollable urge to inflict verbal and/or physical pain on an unwitting victim in hopes to meet an unnecessary and meaningless resolve, only to deny that such occurrences ever happened the very next day.
2. to instigate this form of violence while in an inebriated state, with no apparent intent and absolutely no recollection of such actions the following day, primarily due to embarrassment.
3. to go indian
