Colorguard

A form of entertainment, usually part of a marching band, that involves using props and incorporating different styles of dance. While college-level colorguard requires an intensive amount of practice and ability, high school colorguard girls are essentially the equivalence of pompom/pom-pon or cheerleading rejects.

P1: "Did you see that picture of the colorguard girls on the marching band's Facebook page?"

P2: "Oh, yeah. Some of them aren't exactly the best looking..."

P1: "I heard they only joined since they weren't good enough for the poms squad."

P2: "I bet they just wanted to get with the band guys and didn't have enough musical talents to be actually part of the band."

Colorguard old

A term used for Colorguard and Winterguard members .When you’re Young enough to still Participate in Drum corps (under 21) but have the bone structure and aches of a 90 year old person. Shin splits, knee problems, broken ankles, jammed fingers, pulled muscles and tendinitis is common when you’re Colorguard old. Generally used when You have been spinning since middle school or highschool, and are relatively young, but are old and feel as though you’re decaying physically.

Person 1: Man why are your Knees CRACKING like that during that squat?

Person 2: Bro that’s bc I’m weak and colorguard old.

High School Colorguard (Marching Band) Def. Part 4

CONTINUED FROM #6:
If you have some grace and musical talent(not all guards have this, but ours do and 80% of us play all sorts of musical instruments{most are 1st-3rd out of 5 or more chairs in Concert/Symphonic Band/Choir/Orchestra/Guitar class in their section or have ability to be in more than two instrument sections} and WE GOT RHYTHM AND EXPRESSION like no one's business... kinda required from everyone...lol) then good for your guard.
WE ARE NOT CHEERLEADERS/TWIRLERS. In order for our school's cheerleading team to "look" good while performing, they need to have certain and various amounts of body control, balance, muscle, body awareness, timing, and smiles. These are not hard once you get them down but these are NOT EASY either. NOT ALL GUARDS HAVE THIS but ours do- according to this at some level, we get along with the cheerleaders and we appreciate each other.
Twirlers... I have no exact idea who they are so i can't judge them...
All i know is that twirlers twirl.

Live Oak Jr High Colorguard

A Group where You Sign up your daughter and the greedy coaches who are fat and have hooked noses take a shit ton of your money so your daughter along with other little shits can swing a flag around on a football field for 5 minutes a game and you don't get to see them that much and pay five thousand dollars just for the football season so the fatass coaches can eat food and drink whiskey then they also make your daughter into free child labor making them go to a fundraiser to buy shit like a trailer and a floor then they make you pay another five grand just to do winter guard where you have to go all around Louisiana and Mississippi to watch them throw flags around which requires no skill at all while they abuse your daughter by yelling at them at practice

Julie regretted using her hard-earned money to sign up her daughter for the Live Oak Jr High Colorguard, where greedy, overweight coaches with hooked noses took a massive chunk of her cash so her daughter could swing flags around for just five minutes per game, only to then demand more of Julie's money for winter guard, turning her daughter into free child labor at fundraisers, all while the coaches indulged in food and whiskey.
