A movie that would start to get interesting if it were about the contestants were actually hungry enough to eat each other to survive, but it's not, so it stays mind numbingly plain and dull.

The titles of the books are The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, and Mockingjay. However, the Mockingjay book was made into 2 Movies. Jeniffer Lawrence plays Katniss Everdeen in the movies. Each district has to give up 2 children and then they get presented to The Capitol for sponsorships which can help them through the battle royale games. And, only one can win.

You can't find any decent jobs in that town, the cost of living is high -- the whole economy is just one big The Hunger Games.

In the book Mockingjay, from The Hunger Games Trilogy, the death of the character Finnick Odair shows The Hunger Games Effect in full force, where he dies so suddenly, it’s almost comical.
