Scene Kid

A group of kids or one kid that is obnoxiously obsessive over what others will thinks and what they want others to think. In order to be a scene kid, you must wear all the right clothes and all the right hair styles, etc., or else you will be called a poser.

The "Scene Kids" must listen to either electric pop, or alternative pop. If you listen to alternative music, you must say that you listen to rock and punk, even though that's not what it is. But if you want to be a scene kid, you can never ever actually listen to real punk or rock, because that goes against the nature of a true scene kid.

If you want to be a "Scene Kid", you must have the right hair. You have to have several colors in your hair. You can't just have one, because then, you are a "poser." You also must always wear either a gangster hat, or have your hair teased, but only in the back. You can't NEVER have your hair parted down the middle, because that is just to preppy for the scene crowd. So your hair must be parted as far to the side as possible, and you have to have super super thick bangs so that you cannot see a single speck of your forehead.

The scene crowd all have synchronized outfits. You have to wear jeans so tight that you are forced to lose weight. Also, you have to wear band t-shirts for bands such as "3OH!3", "Forever The Sickest Kids", "Cute Is What We Aim For", "The Devil Wears Prada", etc. You can't wear a new pair of shoes. No no no, never. You have to have beat up converse or vans, because it is the WORST possible thing you can do if you look the least bit swanky. Also, if you wear clothes from Hollister or Abercrombie you will be considered a "poser", and people will call you preppy instead of scene.

Hope you have fun with the "Scene Kids"!
Oh my god, look at that girl over there with the red, yellow, orange, purple, and blue hair, she's such a scene kid.

Wow, check out that girl with the Motion City Soundtrack shirt and the skinny leg jeans on, she's sooo scene.

Holy Tornado, that guy has alternative on his myspace, he must be a scene kid!

Scene Kid

Scene kids are awesome. We don't admit to being scene but we totally are. We're hated by many for being who we are but we don't care. We always have a Myspace and have alliterative or rhyming names such as Shannon Passion, Victoria Vanity, or Brooke Burnout. Sometimes our names don't rhyme at all, such as Emily Suicide or Jenna Razor Blade. Our hair is very important to us. Mine is bra-strap length, dark and curly, with blue and pink streaks and long, thick blunt bangs that touch my eyelashes. Since my hair is curly I can't tease it, but if you work with curly hair right it can look amazingly scene. Of course if your hair is straight you can tease it the traditional scene-way and all that good stuff. Scene kids love to dye their hair and wear huge childish hair bows. Makeup is another thing that's important. My makeup is thick, black eyes and nude lips. The eyes are the main point so we don't play up our lips because we don't want anyone to be distracted from our gorgeous eyes. Some scene kids also wear rainbow eye makeup, but it's rather hard to pull off. Most scene kids are pale, but that's not to say that scene kids can't be of the darker skin tone too. My skin is like brown sugar, and I don't have the stereotypical straight hair, blue eyes and ghost-white skin. So anyone can be scene, if they want to. Scene kids also like to wear tight band tees and tees with random cute stuff on it like Hello Kitty. Dark-washed skinny jeans are an absolute must. Jeans simply cannot be light unless they're pure white. Neon skinny jeans and animal print ones are a plus too. Scene kids also wear dark washed minis with animal print or neon leggings underneath. If skinny jeans are destroyed, they also wear tights underneath. Hoodies can be any color, but the main ones are funky neon colors, pure black and pure white. Dark blues and plums are generally not seen on a scene kid. Accessories are wristbands, fake pearls, pyramid stud belts, Hello Kitty/Invader Zim/robot/random cute necklaces, simple hoop earrings or crazy outlandish ones, and tons of jelly bracelets. Scene kids also like piercings, although to be scene it's not mandatory. The most common ones are septum piercings and snakebites. Scene kids love cutesy things like Gloomy Bear, Hello Kitty, Invader Zim, Miffy, Happy Tree Friends, etc. Scene kids are very confident, threading the line of conceited. But who can blame us? We're gorgeous. Scene kids can also wear glasses, but they have to be thick, plastic frames in either black or white. Anything else just isn't scene enough. We always go to shows and post pictures from them on our Myspace. We like screamo bands, but we basically enjoy any music other than rap or country. Scene kids are either hxc or sxe. Hardcore = hxc and it means that you drink, do drugs, and engage in casual sex. Straight edge = sxe, and it means that you don't. (For the record, I am sxe.) Scene kids idolize our fellow scene queens such as Kiki Kannibal, Zui Suicide, Hannabeth and Audrey Kitching. We also love Jeffree Star and think Alex Evans is amazingly cute. We use lots of scene lingo such as "rawrr", "you are the sex", "that's golden", "that's radd", "that's stellar", "your clothes are so Vogue", etc. For shoes we wear Converse in assorted colors or cute ballet flats. We also like coontails, which you can either dye straight into your hair or get extensions. Oversized sunglasses in black or white are a must because they have an air of mystery and fame to them, which scene kids like. We always accept every single friend request we get on Myspace and strive to have the most friends. We're very goofy and fun, and contrary to popular belief, we don't cut, we're not depressed, and we're generally not openly rude to anyone. We are NOT emo, so do not call us that or else we'll get ultimately pissed. Most of us dream of becoming a model, photographer, or hair stylist. We're happy and fun-loving. Every scene kid is original. :
Scene Kid: "Do you want to go see Hawthorne Heights tonight? I hear their performance is gonna be totally stellar."

Other Scene Kid: "That's golden. Let's go."

Scene Kid: "Okay, but I have to fix my hair and makeup first. Oh-em-gee, where did I put my Hello Kitty necklace?"

Other Scene Kid: "Your clothes are Vogue enough. You don't need that Hello Kitty Necklace. Now, that show is gonna be thasexx and I don't wanna miss it!"

Average Kid: "Ugh, what is it with scene kids?"

Both Scene Kids: *eyeroll* "You wouldn't understand." *dissolves into a sea of obnoxious giggles*

Scene Kid

A style of dress and act in the late 2000s, that many believe to have died out, but some people still live the scene kid life. Scene kids usually wear dark makeup, with either black or bright eye shadow. Some have piercings. Many have dyed hair, either bright colors or natural. It's common to have either streaks of hair dye or coontail extensions. Hair styles are a fringe, cut by the scene kids themselves. Clothes can be dark t shirts with bright designs, usually from bands. Also, tight skinny jeans, which can be black, blue, or any bright color. Shoes are flats, converse high tops or knee highs, or vans. Scene kids also wear a lot of necklaces, and either rubber or beaded bracelets. MySpace is not as popular anymore, scene kids use Instagram or FriendProject to post pictures. Scene kids act confident and a little self centered, but if you know one in real life, you know that is not how they always are. They are interested in hardcore bands such as Asking Alexandria , Bring Me The Horizon , and Attack Attack, or softer bands like BrokeNCYDE and Blood On The Dance Floor. Scene kids also like childish things like Hello Kitty, Pokemon (pikachu in particular), and Invader Zim. Scene kids can be friends with people who aren't scene, but prefer to be with people who have similar interests and style. They look up to scene kids from the 2000s like AmbrehhhIsDead , KikiKannibal , Lexi Lush , and Vanna Venom . They also use internet slang from the 2000s.

Okay lets get this whole problem straight first of all do some research before you write things down. Emo is actually spilt off of the hardcore of the 1980's it orginally stood for emotional hardcore. The scene start in washington d.c. because they believed hardcore kids were becoming to violent and just showing up at shows to hurt people the did not believe in the punk rock ideals made clear but hardcore bands such as minor threat. Emo became more popular during the 90's as an indie style pioneered by bands such as sunny day real estate and texas is the reason. Now the interesting thing about emo is it isn't actually around anymore you see it was really just an offshoot of punk similar to the hardcore of the 80's and the more pop side of punk in the 90's. Now we can get to scene kids they listen to bands that are around today such as silverstein and boys like girls. Which is pop music with a little bit of rock thrown in. Never call someone emo because it does not actually exist anymore there are no emo bands anymore only scene bands. As stated pervoiusly emo is just an offshoot of punk that stayed around for a little bit and doesn't exist anymore. It is also very important to know the difference between scene and punk. Punk is politically and socially motivated whereas scene is rebellion as sold at hot topic. Hopefully everyone understands the difference.
emo kid will listen to sunny day real estate, texas is the reason
scene kid will listen to silverstein, boys like girls, my chemical romance, pink spiders
punk kid will listen to against me, anti-flag, rise against, minor threat

Scene Kid

noun; a very cute person (ideally a teenager) who is obsessed with the way they look while somehow still managing to be alternative. They will talk extensively about bands they like, and get very agitated about being mistaken for emo kids; also called "alternative preppy," the scene kid look is often based around one of several themes, mostly involving animals or mystical figures; these are dinosaurs, zebras, kittens, ninjas, fairies, and others as well.
"Ohhh, what a kyuuuuute BELT! You're such a pretty scene kid today!"
