A high-end version of the First Generation GMC Sonoma that was produced from 1991-1992 with just around approximately 3000 sales. It looks like your average truck, but on the inside, it is much more than just an ordinary and
dumb pickup truck. It has a Turbocharged LB4 V6 with a 4-Speed 4L60 Automatic Transmission, an AWD and/or Torque Distribution of DATA UNKNOWN, 4-Wheel Anti-Spin/Lock Brakes, and produced around ~280 hp. Only 3 were made in 1992. One of them was used for an IIHS crash test, while the other 2 are privately owned. This thing could
go from 0-60 mp/h or 0-97 km/h in just 4.3 seconds, which was faster than a Ferrari and Corvette/
Camaro at the
time. Not only that, it could do a .
25-mile run (Quarter-mile run) in just
13.4 seconds.
Due to its 4.3 second 0-60 and 0-97
time, it is faster than MANY of the current cars that we have, which is just shocking to people like me. Its main competitors were the Chevrolet 454 SS (Higher-End 1988-2001 Chevrolet C/K) and
Ford F-150 SVT Lightning Concept, which still had a slower 0-60 and 0-97
time.
"Dude, why did you buy a stupid and
ugly truck called a GMC Syclone?"
"Trust me, kiddo, you wouldn't know how good this truck is until you see what it can actually do and what's inside the engine".
"Oh, you're on mister!".
"Wait, IS THAT A TURBOCHARGED V6!?"
"Yup. It also has a 4-speed automatic transmission and can go to 0-60 mp/h or 0-97 km/h in around 4.3 seconds, which during their
time, or 1991-1992, was faster than a Ferrari and Corvette. Not only that, it's faster than many of the cars that
car companies are currently producing today".
"
Wow, I am definitely buying this truck right now".
