Typically used nowadays to describe a smallish woman who is either opinionated and aggressive or plucky and spirited.

The word originates from a combination of the Old English word fyst meaning to fart and the German "fist" a small excitable dog.

That Janeane Garofalo is a feisty old bird, farts like a dog too.

Fisty Cunts

A corruption of Fisty Cuffs (an UK expression for a fight or scuffle). Used to describe a group of one or more people (usually young men) on a night out who are looking for a fight, and who are cunts.

Fisty Cunts will start a fight with anyone, for any reason, and may well become depressed or unhappy if they do not have an altercation on a night out.
