Racially, there is no such thing as "Filipino" race. This is because Filipinos consist of Spanish, Chinese, African, Indian, Polynesian, Austronesian etc. blood. They are among the most resilient and adaptable people on Earth. You can find them in the coldest parts of Alaska or Canada, to hottest part of Middle East, to the roughest of oceans as seafarers. They are generally small and short in stature, but are much tougher than they appear. Their faith in their religion and their family bonds make them the mentally toughest group of people in the world. Filipinos particularly those who grew up in the Philippines are shy and unassuming. However, behind those meekness lies the heart of a lion! Filipinos who grew up in the first world countries generally are arrogant.
Filipinos are very hospitable and friendly, often misinterpreted by English-speaking Europeans or Americans as something else. Life is tough in the Philippines that's why Filipinos go abroad even in places like Afghanistan, Iraq, Somalia or Nigeria. If you think your life is tough due to the current economic situation? You ain't seen nothing, mate. Go live in the Philippines and you'll see what really "tough situation" means from a Filipino perspective. No matter how bad a situation is, a Filipino will always find a reason to laugh.

Manny Pacquiao is a great example of a Filipino. He is far from perfect that is why he represents the "real Filipino" as opposed to Jose Rizal or those elite people of the past.

A race that is asian by geography, but has little in common with other asian nations. It's located in South-East Asia. There are group of historians all over the world believe that Philippines is the true OPHIR. If you don't know what that is then I suggest you do some research.

Filipinos are descendants of the Philippine Islands, an area in the Asian continent. However, Filipinos have little in common with other Asians such as the Vietnamese, Cambodian, Chinese, Korean, etc.
Filipinos are Pacific Islanders. They have more in common with the people of the neighboring islands of Samoa, Guam, and Hawaii.

Are Filipinos considered Asian or Pacific Islanders?
They're Pacific Islanders. They have more in common with Samoans, Guamanians, and Hawaiians than they do with Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean people.

Filipinos are a hybrid race that make up asians and spanish. They are very kind, and hardworking people. My favorite Asian and Hispanic if you ask me. Many people may look down upon them however in America, their average salary is increasing and their socioeconomic status is leveling with whites.

Somebody from the most beautiful and lit country in Asia. Somebody that makes beautiful mixed race kids and cooks the best food you’ll ever taste.
Filipinos are not Spanish! Ancestry.com says 99% of Filipinos dont share ancestry with spaniards. That is a myth told to Filipino families. Filipinos were beautiful before spaniards even went there. We have spanish last names because the Spanish forced us to adopt a Spanish last name period.
