A person with a background as both a hacker and an academic (usually with a PhD).

It is not restricted to computer security, but it's often used in this context.

A prestigious k-12 private school founded in 1899 in Tarrytown, NY (Westchester county). Politically motiviated hacking. Some examples include denial of service attacks against conservative groups, defacement of political websites, malicious software development, and website parodies. Tends to be leftist and has close ties with anarchy.

When the media is taken over by conservative propaganda, citizens can engage in underground hacktivism to fight back.
