There is a significant number of half-asian people here who try hard to act white and hide their asian ancestry. In your classes you will encounter loud and obnoxious asian-american guys who interrupt class to crack lame jokes, gay people who talk like the opposite gender, loners who came from another state, and nerds who join a fraternity and suddenly think they're badass. If you are expecting to find life-long friends in college, UW may be the wrong school for you.
