half-friend

A half-friend is a person you talk, or hang out with a lot, but you don't have a very strong connection with them, or they have friends they like more.

Me and Andrew are half friends. We talk a lot, and we meet up after school, but he likes his friend Max more.

I'm Jessica's half friend. She has other friends she likes, but we walk together, talk together, and hang out at the mall.

Me: Half-friend means you are friendly with someone, but you have other friends you like more.

A friend who you don't really care for, but you talk to them out of pity. You're probably looking to dump them nicely. They probably only have you as a friend and are super clingy.

My pity friend has smelly hair and chews with her mouth open.

someone who cares and is there... who just doesn't say they do and not mean it, somone you can call and talk to when your having a really bad time and you can trust with anything .. who won't turn aorund and stab you in the back ...

A good friend will bail you out of jail, a true friend will be sitting next to you saying that was fucking awesome.

To "fool around" with a person or number of people who is/are part of the closely-knit group of friends one has in his/her life. This act is often seen as a taboo, as it is prone to adding a negatively dramatic twist in the social lives of the interrelated people in said socially interacting group.

Someone you connect with at work (ie send same-time messages all day, take bathroom breaks together and share your lunch). The way in which you interact at work leads people to believe you are best friends when in reality you would never been seen outside work with them.

Jessica: No bro, she's a total work friend.
