An expression used to denote someone who is acting lame at the moment. Something that a Southern California girl would say especially back in the 1980s. This was made popular by the Shirley the Loon character in the cartoon Tiny Toon Adventures.
Person #1- We should just have fun today.
Person #2- *smirks*...OK (whatever)....*smirks*
Person #1- Jaimie don't be like that.. Like omigosh like totally go back to the val-ley. Like that's totally lame.

A Tree Tie Back involves two maybe three, but occasionally works with large numbers as well. Unfortunately, far too often most folks go years without - but still, everyone remembers their first Tree Tie Back.
“A Tree Tie Back? I remember my first Tree Tie Back! It’s been far too long.”
“Tree Tie Back’s aren’t for the weak of heart that’s for sure - must’ve been me & Nan back in 82’”

A person that is a "friend" but is treated very poorly, and is only used as a second option incase their #1 friend isnt around.
back-up friends may be ignored, and not invited to things.
a back-up person are in a trio relationship of any kind
they may be that friend that walks behind the group when they are talking about something they didnt go to, and the friend that gets left on read in the groupchat and gets called annoying.
