boat date

The bad part of a deal, the short end of the stick. When someone gets the boat date, they are getting screwed over.

Comes from VH1 reality shows like "Flavor of Love" or "Rock of Love" where the competition gets down to the final two contestants and the one who goes on a date involving a boat is typically eliminated.

New York got the boat date, so Flav chose Deelishis.

Amber got the fun date, and Daisy got the boat date, so she was eliminated.

I can't believe my co-worker got the promotion and I got the boat date!

friend/date

You are going out with a "friend" however it may actually be a "date" in disguise.

Alison: "Me and Tom are going out on a friend/date tonight.

Possible meaning: Alison and Tom say they are friends, but they really are more.

Possible meaning #2: Either Alison or Tom just think they are friends while the other thinks it's more.

Possible meaning #3: Neither Alison nor Tom really give a shit what their status is but just want to go out anyway.

Call of Du-date

When two people (usually guys) start talking about Call of Duty, exchange gamertags or whatever the hell PS3 calls it, and set a definitive time to play. Easier to arrange than normal dates.

Mac: Hey what are you gonna be doing after work?

Tod: Just got that Black Ops son.

Mac: NO SHIT?? Me too, XBOX or PS3??

Tod: XBOX 360 all the way dude.

Mac: Oh dude give me your gamertag and we'll rape some cats later.

Tod: It's a call of du-date.

Mac: Ok fag, hit me up later.
