can be used to describe anything or anyone. generally positive however sometimes used sarcastically.

word originates from ballroom culture as an expression of appreciation for someones look or performance (similar to: “you killed it!”) , however has evolved through its widespread popularity to mean everything and anything and yet also nothing but generally positive.

“omg look at this thing i got”

When someone does not look good in an outfit, it does not look like the outfit is supposed to be for them, or when they look weird doing something or doing something wrong in an odd way.
