a person whom is dedicated to a certain idol. This person has no life, and is okay with it. They usually spend their time on Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, and/or facebook fangirling about their idol. They are also a part of a fandom. It is extremely addicting and needs a warning label.

1. Usually a girl who pretends to have absolutely no self esteem whatsoever in an attempt to get the attention of a celebrity. Either they're pretending or they really don't have any self esteem. These people have an unhealthy obsession and will stop at nothing to get attention. These people have no lives; their celebrity obsession is their priority/occupation/etc... (figuratively, that was a joke kinda)

2. A girl who has a firm grasp on her emotional investments and can laugh and joke about her infatuation with a celebrity. These people have a healthy fascination, are able to lead normal lives, and will probably be better off in this world...

A young female, generally between the ages of 12 and 19, that is obsessed witha pacticular fictional character and the actor who plays him/her. Avoid fangirls at all costs especially in large groups as they tend to swarm and if you are unlucky enough to catch them near their object of admiration, cover your ears and run. They have a batlike shriek that can be heard for miles. Also known as stalker in training
