A person who slows you down when you're trying to scoot through life or get something done. Derived from the medical treatment of foot fractures that requires the wearing of an orthopedic boot

house football

The Lawrenceville School's intramural football league. It is the oldest Football league in the country. There is also a traditional rivlary between Kennedy and Hamill house, although Kennedy has been the stronger house historically. This year, the league appears strong and promises some good games.

football move

An American football phrase used in the NFL rulebook used to overturn a clearly caught pass by a receiver but referees wish to overturn for no particularly reason. It is often used to screw over the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys. Naturally stretching out for a touchdown is not a "football move".
Dez Bryant caught the football, took took two steps, and stretched out for a touchdown; since he did not make a football move the catch was an incompletion.

one foot in the grave

Description of a person who is elderly or very ill and presumably near death. Not particularly respectful, but usually used comically.

Also used with the addition of "one foot in the grave and the other one on a banana peel."
Petie's cat was 18 years old, and while he didn't want to admit it, Petie realized that Tabby had one foot in the grave and the other one on a banana peel.
