1. A site where Progressives and Liberals can discuss, and often disagree, on the state of this country.

2. A site where thinking people can conjugate and be free of the incessant RW claptrap that passes as "thought"

3. A site where Progressives and Liberals find solace in a Sea of Hatred tossed by RW fanatics.

I went to Democratic Underground, to be a part of a Thinking world that is looking forward to no longer being "Underground", but Free to discuss the problems the RW has vented upon the world, without being slandered.

A Demobrat is a wanna be anarchist that likes to bash our government and countries values, even though they're upper class kids living on Mommy and Daddies money. They're at the top of the worlds food chain and the main drain of it's resourses but take no responsibility for their own actions and blame everything on the government, USA,conservatives and Christians.

American democratic socialism

What the rest of the world calls social democracy. Much like American football, we’ve created our own definition. After years of political scientists cringing at misuse of the word, people are throwing their hands up, and accepting that in the US, socialism means something completely different than it does literally anywhere else.

Person 1: I thought socialists wanted to “seize the means of production.”
