Favorite bands are probably Mcr, FOB, P!ATD, and TOP. Almost always accompanied by a black hair tie on their wrist. Almost always seen in skinny jeans, a band t-shirt and beanie. Not completely friendless but usually only a few close friends. Doesn't usually care what other people think. Will wear pajamas to school if they want to. Emo isn't always a bad thing. Emo is short for emotional. Emo is also derived from music. Do not get them confused with goth or scene usually has eyeliner.

Get the Emo mug.Emo is a music scene started in the mid '80s, as an offshoot of punk. Emo is, despite stereotypes, not all about cutting and suicide and crying. Emo is simply EMOtional. It's a music genre, and a state of mind.
People often hate on Emo because it's not "normal" or because it's cooler than them. These people are not cool. If someone insults you because you are a true emo, just ignore them or make a witty, intelligent comeback.

Too many today, it used to be a thing only a small ammount of people did, now you can see some kids as young as 10 getting in on the act.
