The MJ effect is a phenomenon experienced originally by the generation born after Michael Jackson’s prime. These are fans who wish they had seen MJ and been there while he was alive but unfortunately since he’s no longer here so they start looking up to and clinging onto artists in their generation as a means of hope. The MJ effect can happen to anyone who’s idol is not around anymore
Michael was roasted in highschool for liking MJ, they kept reminding him he’s dead so he experienced the MJ effect and he became attached to The Weeknd as his new idol

A phenomenon where an individual or group of clean, innocent, and pure individuals begin to rapidly make bad decisions with their lives due to an Ibe. They engage in activities such as sex, drugs, and alcohol after spending time with an Ibe, almost as if influenced by a contagious virus. The life of someone who has suffered from the Ibe Effect will tremendously decline and never be the same. Coming back from this depressing experience will take much time and extreme patience.
