looking at all of my friend Josh's definitions of green day song's...and he fucked this up only a litte bit. yes, good riddance is a break up song, but the thing is, it has nothing 2 do w/ good terms. billie is basically saying "i hope you had fun while we were 2gether, now get the hell out of my life"

Totally awsome Green Day song of thier album Nimrod. I've heard Billie Joe say once on this t.v show (forgot which one) that he wrote Time of your life (Good Riddance) as if to say good-bye to all the fans and stuff, cause they were gonna quit for a while..most people probably know that already. Thats why there was such a big gap between Nimrod and Warning(?)
Another turning point
A fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist
Directs you where to go
So make the best of this test
And don't ask why
It's not a question
But a lesson learned in time
It's something unpredictable
But in the end it's right
I hope you had the time of your life
So take the photographs
And still frames in your mind
Hang it on a shelf of good health and good time
Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial
For what it's worth
It was worth all the while
It's something unpredictable
But in the end it's right
I hope you had the time of your life.....
It's something unpredictable
But in the end it's right
I hope you had the time of your life.....
It's something unpredictable
But in the end it's right
I hope you had the time of your life.....

Referring to the ultra chill that some people just need to take. Like calm your life but better because one needs to 'jam' aka stop fretting! Letting things take their toll...not making plans but seeing how things go...

The love that never separates from your soul. Not after change, heart aches, or even time. The memory of your time together warms your heart & even when its over you still remember it as one of the best times of your life. It reminds you of adventure and magic. Its the love that forever changed you as a person. Now this is often mistaken for a soul mate ,but often that is far from the truth. People Come & go in your life to lead you to where you need to go. To find your Soul Mate, & your own peace with the world

1) I was getting "my life" when that song came on.
2) "If you came to "get your life," tear the fuckin' club up."
