The area in which you aren't married and more important than dating. Like, if shove it in the face of your family members that say or said that you won't get married or be dating just say "Oi, bitch it's my grifkch. Okay. S/he's more than a boy/girlfriend and we're not married yet, so making a grifkch."

Mom: I'm sorry Timmy, you won't get married or have a girlfriend.
four years later
Timmy: Oi, mom, I got a grifkch
Mom: the fuck is that
Timmy: A grikch is when she's more than a girlfriend but she's not my wife. So four years ago you were wrong, okay, I got both.
Mom: Sure........................

Gickna

The word gickna has two meanings which can be interchangeable (see example 3)

(1) Irish slang for a person who's being a bit of an eejit

(2) Another name for a pigeon that likes to hang out in city center train/bus stations and pretends to have no leg until you give it crumbs, then the leg magically appears

(1) What's John up to with that traffic cone on his head? Ah John give it over will ye? Ya big gickna!

(2) There was a huge gickna pecking at my leg the other day, he wanted a bit of my ham sandwich

(3) Wonder what happened to that poor pigeon's missing leg? Ah don't mind him, he's acting the gickna! Always hiding his leg to get you to throw some of your sandwich!

An in-line hockey rink located exclusively in Grove City Pennsylvania, specifically in the Grove City YMCA. This term is often mistaken for the word “gringo”, which is commonly used by Spanish speakers as a derogatory term for Americans who can’t speak Spanish well.
