A term used by manipulative church leaders to demonize people (especially women) who display independent thought and self-confidence to act upon it instead of unquestioningly obeying the church leaders (often men). It's also used to shift blame to women for their own sexual harassments and assaults within toxic churches.
The term originated from one of the "villain" women of the Bible -- Jezebel, wife of King Ahab.

"Women will not wear pants, makeup, or jewelry in this church. They will be submissive. If anyone doesn't like this, they have a Jezebel Spirit."
"No wonder this happened! Look at what she was wearing. She has a Jezebel Spirit!"

The act of a large group, normally highschool students, fighting for the sake of proving a point or because one persons opinion is different then everyone elses. Based of a high school with the same name that keeps saying that the students have the most spirit around.
Guy1: Yeah, he wants to wreck me.
Guy2: Looks like some of that Pearson Spirit is working its magic again

Hym "The 'spirit of the lie' is, I think, my favorite of your new wave of talking points. It demonstrates exactly how little agency you consider people to have over their own mind, it defends your ethos from criticism by framing anyone who isn't doing what you say as occupied by the wrong spirit (if they were doing what you say they'd be occupied by the spirit or truth) and, therefore, they've criticism is both invalidated and being levied by, not a person who can see where you're wrong... But by a lie-spirit that you don't actually have to engage with."
