Vegan

UH NO PREACHY MUCH?!

Just mentioning this word can get extreme responses from people who will go into a rant about how we should feed horses caviar to those who think we should force feed all vegans rump steak.
In reality a Vegan is someone who doesn't use any animal products (although some do eat honey). This includes what they eat, what they wear, and the cosmetics they use (both the ingredients have to be vegan and the product has to be cruelty-free).
The reasons people go vegan are usually one of three reasons:
-Environment- It has been proven that animal agriculture is extremely detrimental to the environment (being one of the top 10 most polluting industries
-Ethics- Many disagree with the torturous conditions some animals are kept in; but vegans argue that even if an animal has had a good life it is still cruel to slaughter it.
-Health- Not eating products like dairy and (especially red) meat has been proven to have positive health impacts. Your body is also better equipped to digest plant protein than animal, so an amount of legumes will give someone more protein than that amount of meat.

There is an opposite diet called the carnivore diet where someone only eats animal products or in some cases only eats meat, or in even more extreme cases only eats red meat.
