Rabbit fear

Basically, the worst kind of fear a person can possibly have of someone, especially strangers. The pinnacle of all fear. People with rabbit fear get scared and flee for no reason, even when nothing is pursuing them; even the sound of a windblown leaf makes them flee as if fleeing from an armed bandit. They sit alone and away from strangers, or they keep within their clique. When approached by a stranger, people with rabbit fear run away yelling for help, even when in a safe, quiet neighborhood with little to no crime.

A type of anxiety or apprehension felt towards a situation or decision because it is commonly perceived as difficult, overwhelming, or universally feared, rather than based on personal experience.
