a combination of the names Melissa and Melina. It oringinated in SC when a Spanish teacher took Melissa as Melina, and had extremely bad handwriting. People saw the name and read "Melino".

The funky cold medina is a mixture of urine, feces, peanut butter and sour milk. According to Ricardo Gomes (an inmate on the show 'Lockup'), this 'sinister concoction' is used to throw on a victim as a punishment of sorts.

"My brother stole a couple of fries from me when I went to the bathroom. The next day I hit him with a Funky Cold Medina. He won't be stealing from me again."
