The Macarena Effect is, of course, named after the song of the same name. Most people only know two of the words in the entire song.

The Grandfather Effect

An term made by me at 3 am looking at minutephysics video about the grandfather "paradox"

The Grandfather Paradox is when you go back in time and kill your grandfather but since your grandpa is dead, you cant go back in time since.. u know... you dont exist. But since you dont exist your grandpa exists which means YOU exist but then you go back in time and kill your grandpa, and it keeps going on forever.

But in minutephysics video he talks about how it´s NOT an paradox (cant have links sorry)

Me: Have you heard of The Grandfather Effect?

Friend: No. What´s that?

Me: The definition is: If an action makes that action impossible, that action is both possible, and impossible. - Me 2020, it is kinda like Schrödinger's cat.

Jax Effect

The Jax Effect occurs when you have a problem but it miraculously fixes itself the moment someone else looks at the problem.

I brought my computer problem to Jax at IT and it fixed itself the moment she looked it. The Jax Effect just happened.

"Hey Jax. My learning modules aren't loading when I try to launch them. I keep getting an 'Access Denied' Not sure what's going on."
"OK let me take a look. Oh it looks like it's loading fine and I didn't even have to do anything."
"OMG I just got Jaxed! Thank you!"
"You're very welcome!"

"Hey can you come over here? Something's messed up."
"OK. What is it?" Walks over.
"When I click this, nothing happens... oh wait.. What? It's working now. It wasn't working before."
"You just got Jaxed."

The believe that something lucky/good happens for every time you see/hear/notice the number 17 in a significant place or context.
This can also be used when one is 17 years old and something especially good happens to them.

Sometimes the multiples of 17 (34,51...) can also be used in it's place.

Getting that girls number right after the goal from Kellen Moore was definitely the 17 effect!!!

The Boomer Effect

When a young person, usually a Gen Z, lives with one or multiple Baby Boomers. You start to feel old, ache more, tired often, and you start to like old shows. There are many more effects that have yet to be written down. Some examples of these shows are Law and Order, Dr Phil, old westerns, or the game shows like The Price is Right.

Bill: Hey, John's been complaining about a back ache lately. Hes only 12! He doesn't know real aches until he gets my age! Hes also watching old western movies.

Lily: Oh no, it's The Boomer Effect! It's taking over!
