A non-Japanese individual who is so enamoured with Japan that they act as though they are stuck in a Tokyo high school anime forever, prioritise Japanese media over their own culture, and pretend to be Japanese at heart.

Historically, someone who would back Japan in the event that their own country went to war, added with extreme wannabe energy.

A common misunderstanding clarified: Buying Japanese goods, playing Japanese video games, or watching anime or manga does not equate to being a weeb. Pens, t-shirts, ringtones, or casual Naruto tactics ≠ weeb.

Synonyms: wannabe-Japanese, over-obsession, historical internet liability

A person who is morbidly obsessed with Anime and other Japanese film, they try and become Japanese by doing the following
- Thinking theyre learning Japanese form Anime
- Collecting katanas and carrying them around everywhere, thinking their Japanese when they dont even do that themselves.
- Jacking off to animated 13 year old girls from Anime. That doesnt make them Japanese at all, it just makes them a straight up pedophile.
