You may find yourself having to repeat the same thing again and again like with a small child or Alzheimer's patient. The difference is an empty seater is unconnected emotionally. They are devoid spiritually and basically out to lunch.
Wow, I called my mom up after ten years, big mistake! Nothing at all has changed. She's still as immature, spoiled and elitist as ever. She said how she just loved me to pieces, but at the same time did not seem to care that I was left without a GP or plumbing. "What an empty seater!"

Get the Empty the Dishwashermug. People being optimistic when there's really nothing to be optimistic about. A sense that someone's positivity has no merit and is practically wasted because almost if not everything is purely negative at the time. This kind of thinking can be toxic because being happy all the time, even and especially during hardship, doesn't necessarily solve anything.
I'm getting tired of the amount of Empty Optimism that everyone around me is exerting. There's really nothing to be happy about right now.
