A play on the bait and switch. When an old friend or acquaintance reconnects with you for the soul purpose of bragging because they've run out of friends to talk to. I.e. anyone who respects them enough to listen anymore.

During vehicle travel, especially on highways or freeways, any vehicle which is driving faster that you, either behind or in front, which can be used as protection against getting written up for a radar speed violation. The theory being that the "radar bait" vehicle would be written up rather than you. If if you are also exceeding the posted speed limit.

Get the file baitingmug. Game played on the highway involving two vehicles. A smaller, preferably agile and/or fast car, does anything it safely can to harass a pickup or SUV driver. Common antics include tailgating, cutting off, just generally taunting them. The game becomes more fun if the "Fatty" tries to keep up or overtake the quick and nimble car. Bonus points if the Fatty has lame bumper stickers about redneck culture, being a Soccer Mom, and/or is uber clean a la the Concrete Cowboy.
I was making good time on the highway today then this SUV was going 60 in the left lane. Got myself an opening in the right lane, passed it then played Bait the Fatty for a few miles, it was great!!
