A hockey team where all the New Jersey bandwagons root for and say it's cuz of their parents, like a bunch of unloyal fucks, and say they love the rangers while only knowing maybe 3 players
Bandwagon: "oh yeah I love the New York Rangers"
Actual hockey fan: "name 3 players"
Bandwagon: "Igon Shesterkin, Adam Fox, uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

A person who upon moving to New York is suddenly smarter than anyone, but with a smarmy attitude. An elitist.

The button in an elevator used to close the doors shut. Although uncommon in the rest of the world, this button is used by New Yorkers because they are assholes.

This is a town where everyone has most likely heard about every single thing you've done since you were born. Girls are nicknamed booty calls here. Guys are pimps or gangsters. Most guys wear pants that could fit a whole party inside, so they can have a party in their pants. Every girl is considered a slut whether they really are one or not. No one can make a good living here mainly because all the drug dealers are getting caught. If someone has a nice car they are considered a drug dealer even if they're only a lawyer.
Lets go to jamestown new york to get some ass.

One of the greatest newspapers that you can always rely on.
And no it's definitely not left-winged propaganda. In reality, it's pretty centrist.

Traditionally it has meant in the blink of an eye.
But after 9/11, due to the large air play of the song New York Minute (by Don Henley, and covered by the Eagles) it has taken on the further connotation of "A Blink Of an Eye that Changes Everything." Cataclysmic.

A sudden accident that takes a life. Any senseless violence, or of course the 9/11 attacks themselves. But it can be a good event too. When New York legalized Gay Marriage, the media reported the event as a New York Minute - the signing of that bill would change the state forever.
