When having a phone conversation, the person on the other line stops talking and you can clearly tell that they are smiling. Usually preceded by a compliment or joke.

I was talking to this girl last night and I told her how amazing and cute she was; I was stoked to hear she gave me a smile pause.

Canadian Smile

When the weather is freezing cold in Canada and a Canadian breathes through clenched teeth to try and make the air breathable. This gives the appearance of a smile. Canadians can relate.

It was about -30 degrees the other day, you could see Canadian smiles all around.
