location spotting

Recognizing locations in films that are supposed to be somewhere else. Especially popular game for Vancouverites because thanks to the BC Film Tax Credit many US producers shoot up north to save money, and attempt to pass off Vancouver as various American locales.

Check it out, the forest in this movie isn't in Maryland, it's a park in North Van. Me, Jane and Joe were smoking weed there just last week.

A parking spot at the end of a parking section, where, if parked, your car has only one car to its side instead of both sides. You will see new car owners, or those with door ding phobia, opt for this type of parking location.

Tough Spot

Being put in a situation that may be good or bad, but overall is extremely tricky to handle. Not being able to deal with a tough spot may result in a tewwble job.

Realizing you don't have a tin of dip when you are on the first tee of 18 holes is a really tough spot.
