Get the prepmug. The word "prep" is a stereotype that most people use in high school. Preps are classified as people who have a big attraction to trends, fashion and such. They are apparently in the "in" crowd. Many others of different stereotypes loathe preps (those stereotypes are most likely punks and goths). Preppy girls are often labelled as "sluts", "bitches" and so on. I believe it's because some majority of the preps are rude and snobby. But that isn't the case for every single prep.

Most of the definitions here are not describing preps, but rather "stupid assholes". Real preps have taste in music (not some stupid anime crap) and clothing, social skills, and have brains to back it up.
I'd rather hang out with A&F-wearing "preps" than goth dumbasses who think they're unique, or emo pricks who are even worse. Hell, I wear A&F and some other "preppy" brands, and I listen to metal, punk-rock, prog rock etc. Not all preps listen to the same genres of music.
Not all preps are the same. The people who you guys are describing ARE NOT THE PEOPLE IN THIS DEFINITION. Wearing Ambercrombie does not make you an asshole. All you socially inept, akward, acne-ridden morons, you're not the one's that will succeed in life. Sure, some of you might be pretty smart, but showing up for a job interview in a greasy Legend of Zelda t-shirt isn't going to get you anything.

like for instance, Goth kids, they wear the same style of clothing, and many have the same views about other groups
another example would be gangsta people, most wear the same kind of low pants and loose fitting cloths and talk slang and hate people who "pretend to be thug like them" or some shit like that,
so preps, despite what those other people say, are just people that have a different view on society and wear cloths they think make them look good , basicly attention craving ppl.
