Hailing From New York, they brought a raw element into Hip Hop. There tracks contained no polished radio hooks, or commercial gain support. Instead providing Violent, Raw Punch lines through most of the tracks, layed over Adrenaline Rushing Beats. They made global success during the 90's hip hop's golden era, and still remain one of the top live performing groups in Hip Hop Today.
They are set to release their fifth album:8 Diagrams in Summer 2007. They are once again ready to beat on the "Rap" videos of modern today, that sounds more like pop and like commecial shit. In a released statement, group leader RZA commented on the need for the Clan's return:
