When something is totally wrong, gross, disgusting, out-of-whack, but taken to the extreme. Also, can be taking to the other extreme, in the positive sense.

That girl was ugly. She wasn't just gnarly, she was guh-narly.

That wave was killer, totally guh-narly.

This phrase is used when one replies to another person's comment in acknowledgement, congratulation, insult, or for no apparent reason at all. This phrase has many meanings depending on the scenario it is used. It can be used to make someone happy, sad, angry, or confused (etc).

The phrase is stated as "guh (g-uh) hub ada (ah-duh) gah (g-uh) hoo (like hooray)".

**Warning** This phrase can be used as an insult during certain scenarios, so be cautious in using the word for that meaning if you know the person can get more agitated or annoyed.
