one hit wonder

My new term to refer to the Pokemon Shedinja. It has only one hit point. The only thing that stops it from losing is it's ability, wonder guard, which means only moves that are super effective against it can actually hit it sucessfully.

A one hit wonder may seem cool, but it is no where near as good as having a pokemon with ton of hit points.

A repeating one-hit-wonder

An artist that has never really made a real name for themselves as a popular or even famous artist. They have had many hits, but nobody knows much about them and they have often not had very big albums.

Very smart person 1: Do you know Bebe Rexha?
Other person: I know *of* her, yes.
Very smart person 3: Does anybody really *know* her?
Very smart person 7: I guess you could say she is somewhat of a repeating one-hit-wonder.
