Foo Fighters

One of the coolest bands around; an epic force in the world of modern rock music. Current lineup consists of frontman/guitarist/lead singer Dave Grohl, drummer Taylor Hawkins, guitarists Pat Smear and Chris Shiflett, and bassist Nate Mendel.

Formed by Grohl in the mid-90's following Kurt Cobain's death (and the subsequent disbanding of Nirvana), Foo Fighters initially started as a one-man project in which the former Nirvana drummer - unsure of what to do next - recorded an entire album of his own material, essentially covering all instrumentals and vocals himself. As the demo tape gained traction, the one-man project grew into a full lineup of musicians. The rest is basically history. 11 Grammy wins (plus 16 nominations), over 30 million albums sold worldwide, 20+ years strong.
