But in no way does emo involve kids cutting themselves, or wearing tight jeans, or scarfs or any of that crap. emo started as a style of music, and has now turned into a degrading form of self expression. i hate what emo has turned into...because in fact, most bands nowadays can be classified as emo, but people are just too used to thinking emo is, black hair, tight pants, and all that. IT ISN'T!!!!!!!
For example...a band nowadays that should actually be classified as emo is, Boys Like Girls...to be more specific, Me, you, and my medication. Listen to it. it starts out clean guitar, and during the chorus goes into distorted guitar.
