The product of including someone in your band, only to realize shortly that your band now sucks horribly. Symptoms include excessively being made fun of, the odd desire to add two-stepping to all your performances, frequently getting the stinkeye from others, or just sucking all together.

Stopwatch Effect

When a man tries to use the restroom, such as in a urinal, and another man walks in and begins speaking, breaking Male Bathroom Etiquette. The first man's stream then begins to stop flowing, and begin, as the second man starts and stops talking.

Man #1: *urinating*

Man #2: *urinating* Hey, Bob.

Man #1: *stops urinating* Stop talking, you're giving me the stopwatch effect.

Fuji Effect

When you see someone from far away and think that they're attractive, but on closer inspection realize that they are really, *really* not.

This is like Mt. Fuji in Japan--beautiful from far away, but ugly, dirty, cold, and generally uninhabitable once you get close to it.

Also known as the Mt. Fuji Effect or the Fuji-san Effect.

On arriving at a party:

Girl #1: Ooo, that guy's pretty hot.
Girl #2: You think?

But when they get closer:

Girl #1: Oh, no, never mind. Fuji Effect.
