Yapping

The word "yapping" comes from the word "yap." This word has an imitative origin. Around the 16th-17th century, it was used to describe the sound of a small dog's sharp bark or yelp. Later, around the 18th-19th century, it developed to describe someone who talks a lot without making any sense.

Offensiveness: 2/7 - not offensive, it is used jokingly to mean "talking too much." But sometimes, some people may feel bad. It depends on who you're talking to. You need to know whether people will understand the joke or not.

"My friend wouldn't stop yapping about her new nails during the whole bus ride."
"He was still yapping on the phone about the same problem, even after we'd already solved it."
"She is still yapping about the fight she had with her boyfriend, and that was already a month ago."

Someone who has convinced themselves that it is possible to completely rid themselves of bias, esp. racism, sexism etc. and complusively try to correct people who they feel are being offensive.

A delusional yuppy is a yuppy that have the delision either being free of prejudice, or that they are doing the right thing by overreacting at people when the chance pops up.
