scene

Okay, okay. Enough about stereotyping! Scene is just a label. Most scene kids are gorgeous and have amazing hair! If you don't have cute hair, get it! Some scenesters come up with unique ideas to do to their hair, like dyeing your bangs turquoise or framing your hair around their face. Most scene girls wear alot of eyeliner and eyeshadow, but if you want you can tone it down. Many scene kids are afraid of being labelled because people WILL call them a poser, but if you want to label yourself, that's fine! Just don't go around earth shouting 'look at my Skrillex teeshirt, piercings, and hair! Aren't I so scene?'
Scene girl:
•Listens to a variety of music
•Has unique and creative ideas for hair, clothing, and tattoos
•Has a couple piercings
•Has alot of twitter/instagram/tumblr followers (around 500-100K usually)
•Has alot of facebook friends
•Looks good
•Has friends of many labels
•Has a wide range of hobbies

Scene poser girl:
•Only listens to dubstep, screamo, and alternative
•Copies scene queens

•Buys fake piercings and acts like they're real or complain about how her parents won't let her get real ones
•Has very few followers (100 or less after a year)
•Has 4,671 friends on facebook but only hangs out with 2
•Wears too much makeup and dresses slutty
•Only hangs out with scene kids
•Sits on facebook, tumblr, etc. all day
•Tries too hard to be random/ shouts 'Flying purple fire pandas!' every few seconds
•Still gets on myspace
•Buys merchandise for bands they can't name several songs by

scene

Basically, emo kids that don't admit to being emo.
Not surprisingly, they look pretty much the same as emo kids, but with more childish things than "darker" things.
"Oh, crap. Brian and Heather think I'm emo!"
"Shit! Uhm...just say that you're scene."
"That's...that's just brilliant enough to work. Quick, we must change our screennames to cuntx_____bangdeath and steal shirts from our little siblings!"

Scene

scene is an underground culture that sprang up from 'emo'.
A scene can be a male or female. Eyeliner, tight clothing, neon colored clothing, long bangs, odd hair (long on guys, long OR short on females, poofy hair), gun shot wound (back of hair is spiked), going to all the concerts/shows. Notes: not to be mistaken by EMO or a POSER. Curly hair is only on the ends of female hair, not on males! All most always a white kid.
Scene traits:
-Mosh-pitting
-neon colors
-Hottopic
-local shows
-'scene' hair
-tight clothing
-female clothing (on guys)
-eyeliner (both male and females)
-a VERY SKINNY person
-heavy internet user
-the ability of typing/texting over 350 words per minute
-knowing who 'Dot Dot Curve' or 'Alesana' is.
-the guy/girl you see at the mall everyday
- rumors about he/she being gay/lesbain
- for more, fucking google it!

scene

An alternative lifestyle and also a pejorative term for a conformist group of youth that is nearly identical to Emo.
Characterized as having the following traits, regardless of sex: Tight girl jeans; tight band t-shirts; heavy eye makeup; lip or septum piercings; uneven-length hair that is shorter ot the side and back that it is in the front, also died various colors; studded belts; slit wrists due to self-mutilation

scene

Scene kids are more into the fashion and wear tons and tons of makeup but are more able to rock bright colors or patterns, weird hair, etc. Emo kids more fade into the background and scene kids are more crazy. They want to stand out. they will also not be ashamed to say they listen to hip hop sometimes. They will jump around at shows, while the emos fold their arms in the back. Emo kids are sad that they don't fit in, and scene kids don't really think about it. That would take valuable time away from taking pictures of themselves with their new purple tights.
man... that girl is just so scenery, i can't handle it.

scene

Since the 2007 downfall of the Scene trend, there are less Scenesters out there. However, it has been picked up by the younger generation. These kids are usually 13-16. Sadly, you may also see 10-12 year olds trying it out, then failing epically. A lot of things are different, yet the foundation of the Scene is mostly the same.
The first steps of the Scene, sometimes labeled ‘elektrikk’ evolved into ‘br00tal’, which now has come to what I’d call “new age scenesters”

MUSIC:
2008 = screamo, post-hardcore, electronic/dance, acoustic
AS OPPOSED TO
06/07 = deathcore, grindcore, hardcore
2005 = pop punk, emo

HAIR:
2008 = teased, less crazy and dead bird-like, brown gaining popularity
06/07 = teased to dead bird-like state, strictly black or white blonde
2005 = short, choppy, black

STYLE:
2008 = standard vans/converse, skinny jeans, band t-shirts, graphic/vintage, plastic jewelry, bandanas
06/07 = skin-tight black skinny jeans, black skirts+leggings, plastic jewelry
2005 = (same as 2008 scenesters)

MAKE UP:
2008 = dark eyeliner, colored or no eye shadow
06/07 = black eyeliner, cat-eye or winged out, black eye shadow, fake moles
2005 = (same as 2008 scenesters)

ATTITUDE:
2008 = resembling normal people. some are conceited and pull a “SUP IM BETTA DEN U” move
06/07 = total elitist snobs. Arrogant, cocky, stuck-up, etc. Only talk to people as amazing & trendy
2005 = more snobby than new age scenesters, but not as bad as the br00tal kids.

Many bystanders claim that the Scene is dead and that anyone who still continues to follow it is a try-hard/poseur. However, this is not always the case. Scene is much like the Punk & Goth styles. It hit its peak and witnesses the best of times, but they decline, and fall into near extinction. Same with the Scene trend. The main followers have grown up to be 16, 17, and 18 year olds who no longer take part in compulsive hair coloring or MySpace whoring. However, the younger generation continues to keep it alive for a few last breaths of air.
Hopefully this explained how the scene was & how it is now...
