To desire the high quality of an Apple product or interface in an open source product. This is usually displayed as aggression or unusually negative position about an Apple product by an open source zealot.

I can't believe you got an Iphone, it's a closed platform. I have an Android because it is open source which makes it better. O wait, I just have Apple envy.

Major Envy

When the sentiment of envy is held by one university student towards another because the other has a seemingly better major. This most often occurs during times of high workload, and is more commonly felt by science majors towards liberal arts majors. It can be a manifestation of the 'grass is greener' phenomenon.

Dude I'm feeling major envy for Kevin right now - he's already finished all his work for the year.
