The golf player emoji is rooted in the old LGBTQIA+ community forums from back in the 90's - 00's. Long story short,it was encrypted using a certain symbol combination that resembled (in a caricatural manner) a vagina in the act of being licked ;^~{(:)}<●; (Yeah I don't get it either). Since then it saw widespread usage throughout the 2000's, generally representing a girl willing to have homosexual intercourse, being often associated with either lesbians or bisexual girls. Though not so widely used today, it represents still a quirky way to point towards your sexuality

Girl 1 : *inserts Golf player emoji in bio*
Girl 2 (knowing the code, browsing online) : *sees bio* ; *realizes Girl 1 is willing to have intercourse with a girl, but wants to keep a low profile
