Once inside you get sidetracked by finding something else you remembered you forgot and then something else and something else until you take so long that your friend gets concerned and comes looking for you, finding you with your hands full of stuff but no keys.
Friend: Are you coming? What is taking so long?
You: I been lookin for a worm weight. I know where one is but I thought I might find another one somewhere in here.
So the two of you get back in your truck and you still don't have your keys.
