Someone who is just there in the Xbox or PlayStation party who is just listening in to your conversation whilst adding nothing towards the conversation. They are often caught out for this. For short this can be called ratting or sewing. They can also be called a sewer rat for third partying in a game.

I can't remember the name of the experiment but the IS, in fact, a thing that happened and was done to rats. You can probably find the experiment on YouTube. That's where I saw it.
