The banter bus is a metaphorical term used to describe the activity of going to a place of interest with banterous intent usually some sort of clunge fest. It could also be used to ask someone if they want to partake in some meta-wymsical behavior.
I am on the banter bus now I'll be at the clunge fest in 20 minutes.
What you doing tonight mate? You up for getting on the banter bus.

Slang name given to the school buses manufactured by the Crown Coach Corporation of Southern California. The rounded shape and yellow color are remarkably similar to the Hostess Twinkie snack cake.
This bus body shape remained unchanged for a remarkable 43 years, spanning 1948-1991. These buses were and still are a staple of many school districts of Southern California and other parts of the western United States.
This term is wrongly given to other school buses that do not have the distinct Twinkie shape of the classic Crown Coach. And is often misused for short busses, which are more appropriately referred to in slang as a Tard Cart.
